Mr. Lee image.png

1980. Hae Un Lee, a Korean immigrant with hopes of achieving the “American Dream”, took a leap of faith and moved away from his homeland with his wife and children.

He left behind a career as a bureaucrat in Seoul’s Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. With commercial real estate and plastic surgery businesses on the side, he just wasn’t satisfied and yearned for something more. A bold move for a man who spoke no English.

Mr. Lee and his family essentially had to start over. Beginning a new life, one that would benefit his children’s education, was his motivation with Seoul Korea becoming overpopulated.

He has always had a strong commitment to his work. Lee earned his success through hard work and perseverance. He opened his first liquor store in 1981. A 2500 square foot store in a small strip mall just 2 miles off the strip he named “A-Plaza Liquor Barn” in order to get his store listed first in the local yellow book. From the get-go Lee’s mentality was set to reign supreme at the top.

Lee has become quite the local celebrity through controversial billboards and comical commercials. From the humble beginnings of gross monthly sales topping at $30,000, Lee has evolved his empire into what is today a multi-million-dollar business with 23 total business locations and counting.

Lee is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a firm believer of giving back to the community. He even started his own non-profit organization called Lee’ Helping Hand which has helped many local charities such as Opportunity Village, New Vista, Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Spread the Word Nevada, Blind Center of Nevada, and many other non-profits. He not only donates but participates himself in helping local charity events and fundraisers.

Mr. Lee’s greatest inspiration that keeps him going until this day is knowing that he can contribute a helping hand to the people in need in his local community.

He is a man who is on a constant search for new opportunities to grow his business and his family name in the Las Vegas community.
