Vice President of Catering, Conventions, & Events at Caesars Entertainment
Don Ross has over – 40 years of experience in hotel, resort and casino management. As Vice President of Catering, Conventions & Events, Don oversees the catering, conference services, banquets and meeting services teams for ten Caesars Entertainment properties in Las Vegas, and has also been instrumental in aligning the convention services of Caesars Entertainment properties outside of Las Vegas.
Before joining Caesars Entertainment, Mr. Ross held various positions in food and beverage at other esteemed hospitality companies, including the Boca Raton Hotel & Club; Waikiki Beachcomber, Royal Lahaina Maui, Amfac in Dallas, Dallas Hilton Fontainebleau Hilton, and the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
Don has been the recipient of many awards and honors, including The Valen Award of Distinction – UNLV Hotel School, Industry Executive of the Year, the Spirit Award from the Las Vegas Hospitality Association, and Caesars Entertainment Award for Excellence in Leadership, he has also received recognition from various nonprofits to include: Green Chimneys School and Opportunity Village for Community Service.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. Since 1994, Donald Ross has served as hotel coordinator for UNLVino a hugely popular consumer wine and food festival with approximately 5,000 guests attending to raise scholarship money for students attending the hospitality and culinary programs of UNLV.
As the VP of Catering and Conventions, Don has been involved in many local charitable events to include Jewish Federation, ADL, Opportunity Village, Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow, Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Nathan Adelson Hospice, Festival of Trees & Lights, MDA Telethon…to name a few.
Don is a board member of the Green Chimneys School in Brewster NY, a past Culinary Arts Management Program (CAMP) advisory board member at UNLV Hotel School, Board member for Congregation Ner Tamid and Past Board President of Anthem Country Club.
Don, his wife Mary and two daughters, Samantha and Sara are residents of Henderson.
